I am making this site for the most special nan anyone could wish to have. Her name is sheila oakley
and she passed away on the 17th november 2006. She had been poorly for a number of weeks after
suffering a stroke but tried really hard to keep her spirits up but hated being away from home and
being stuck in hospital. She was 77yrs old and was a couple of weeks of her 78th, After being in
hospital for around 5-6 weeks they let her come home on tuesday the 14th, i went to visit her on the
wednesday and she looked alot happier being home with my uncle and her beloved lucy the dog (she
adored her pet dogs). My mum was to become her carer, i spoke to her on the thursday and on the
friday she was sat up in the living room watching her favourite tv programmes.I"ll never forget that
day as it was children in need on the tv that evening. My mum phoned me and said she had taken a bad
turn and as being rushed back into hospital. It was only 1 and a half hours later that my mum phoned
me to tell me that she was gone. she had died from a massive stroke but there was another name they
used for it. She will always be missed each and every day and it still seems like only yesterday
that it all happened, She leaves a daughter who is my mum, a son, 4 grandchldren and 10 great
grandchildren 1 of which was only born in the september after she died but she"ll be told all about
her special nana x x
